Public Views

Is there a way to restrict users from making public views? Our public view list just gets out of control and we can encourage users to only create private views but they don't seem to always do it. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks.

My approach would be to use a dxl script to change views from public to private -- script would have to be ran by Admin.

Thanks, Promethious. I can definitely do that. I'm just wondering how to keep users from ever making public views so I don't have to keep running a script to change public views to private views. We only want specific views to be public and our admins to be the only ones to create those views.

Or you can implement view standards that cause all user-created views to be found at the bottom of the view list.

But how to enforce such a standard? If only there were such a tool that could do that?

But wait, there is!
